Our Mission
Larose Christian Academy exists to provide homeschooling families with the legal oversight, administrative support, and spiritual encouragement they need to successfully educate their children at home. We believe parents are their children's first and most important teachers, and we are here to come alongside them in that calling.
What is a Cover School?
A cover school (also called an umbrella school or covering school) is a private school that homeschooling families enroll in to meet state legal requirements. The school "covers" the family by maintaining enrollment records, attendance logs, and transcripts — while the parents retain full control over curriculum, teaching methods, and daily instruction.
In Alabama, cover schools operate as church schools under Alabama Code §16-28-1. This model has been serving homeschool families effectively for decades.
Church School Foundation
Larose Christian Academy operates as a church school under Alabama state law. Our founder is an ordained minister, and the school operates under the authority and covering of our ministry. This provides the strongest possible legal foundation for the families we serve.

If something on the website isn't working — a page that won't load, a button that doesn't respond, something that looks wrong, or an error message — you can report it in seconds right from your Parent Portal. Our team will see it and get it fixed.

Log into the Parent Portal
Sign in at the top of the site (or visit laroseca.org and click "Parent Portal").

Click the "Problem Center" button
You will find it at the top of your dashboard, right beside the School Calendar button.

Tell us what went wrong
Write a short description of the problem — what you were doing and what happened.

Attach a screenshot
Take a screenshot of what you are seeing, then drag and drop the image into the upload box (up to 4 images).

Send the report
Click "Send Report" — your description and screenshots go straight to the school office, and we will work on a fix.
💡Quick tip — how to take a screenshot: On a phone: hold the power and volume-down buttons at the same time. On a computer: press Windows + Shift + S (Windows) or Command + Shift + 4 (Mac). The image will save to your photos or downloads, ready to attach.
The Problem Center is available to enrolled families through their Parent Portal. For anything else — enrollment questions, billing, or general help — please use the Contact page instead.
